Cloud DevOps Engineer Manager (Azure, Hybrid)

About the role

EY GDS Consulting Services is looking for an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer at manager level to join its team in Malaga. You will lead the design, implementation and operation of secure, scalable and highly automated cloud platforms, supporting clients through complex cloud and digital transformation initiatives. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with technical leadership, stakeholder management and operational ownership, working with international teams and major clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of Microsoft Azure cloud platforms and DevOps solutions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and related automation.
• Run containerized workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and implement GitOps with Argo CD.
• Automate infrastructure with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code, and define reusable platform components and self-service capabilities.
• Set up monitoring, logging, tracing and observability with OpenTelemetry, Grafana and Kibana.
• Manage releases across environments, investigate incidents and define technical roadmaps.
• Mentor team members, support project planning and risk management, and contribute to client proposals and technical estimations.

Required profile

• More than eight years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience leading technical initiatives, supporting engineering teams and managing client or business stakeholders.
• Good command of English, written and spoken.
• Ideally: experience in international consulting or enterprise-scale cloud environments, and DevSecOps, scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) or cloud certifications.

Required skills

• Hands-on Microsoft Azure and AKS; GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, Argo CD and Terraform.
• Monitoring and observability with OpenTelemetry, Grafana and Kibana.
• Release management, incident investigation and resolution.
• Ideally: DevSecOps, cloud governance, microservices and container security.
