Lead Software Engineer (Full Stack)

About the role

Expereo, a provider of managed internet, SD-WAN/SASE and cloud connectivity solutions, is hiring a Lead Software Engineer (Full Stack) for its new Digital Office in Barcelona. You will join a full-stack, outcome-driven squad within the Commercial XP or In-Life XP Single-Threaded Owner (STO), designing and building modern front-end and back-end applications, mentoring engineers and shaping engineering best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and maintenance of scalable front-end applications (React, Vue, Angular) and back-end services (Node.js, Python or similar), and create reference implementations and documentation.
• Build reusable UI components, design systems, shared libraries and internal service frameworks, and integrate REST, GraphQL, event-driven and microservices APIs.
• Ensure performance, security, accessibility and reliability; lead automated testing across unit, integration, contract and end-to-end layers; implement observability (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting).
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, build tooling and infrastructure automation, and drive engineering standardization across STOs.
• Partner with designers, architects and product managers on technical feasibility and effort estimation, mentor engineers and champion reliability engineering.
• Explore new technologies such as agentic AI, data-driven UX and programmable networks, and identify technical risks early.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with .NET required and Node.js or Python preferred.
• Experience leading technical decisions and mentoring experienced engineers.
• Nice to have: exposure to agentic AI, design systems or Storybook, and experience with Salesforce.

Required skills

• Modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue or Angular) and component-based architecture.
• REST, GraphQL, streaming/event-driven APIs and microservices.
• CSS frameworks (Tailwind, Bulma, MUI, Chakra) and build tools (Vite, Webpack, Babel).
• Automated testing (Jest, Cypress, Playwright) and accessibility (WCAG).
• Cloud environments (AWS, Azure or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
