Cocinero/a – Hotel in Tenerife

About the role

Barcelo Hotel Group is looking for a motivated Cook (Cocinero/a) to join the kitchen team at its Tenerife property. You will work under the Head Chef, preparing dishes according to the established menu specifications and contributing to the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare all recipes following the technical sheets of the rotating menu.
• Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and meets the standards set by the Head Chef.
• Assist in cost control, inventory management, and purchasing activities.
• Participate in cleaning, preservation, cooking, regeneration, and restocking of food items.
• Support the receipt and storage of food supplies according to established procedures.
• Perform tasks in compliance with safety, hygiene regulations and current legislation.

Required profile

• Formal training: Higher Level Vocational Training in Cooking and Gastronomy (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior) and HACCP course.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar kitchen position.
• No language requirement.
• Team‑player attitude, creativity, stress tolerance and problem‑solving ability.

Required skills

• HACCP (food safety) certification.
