About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cook to join the kitchen team at Hotel Occidental Atenea Mar, part of the Barceló Hotel Group. You will work under the supervision of the Head Chef, ensuring high‑quality food preparation in a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare all recipes according to technical sheets and the established menu rotation.
• Ensure smooth kitchen operations and report to the Head Chef.
• Assist in cost control, inventory management, and purchasing activities.
• Participate in cleaning, preservation, cooking, reheating, and restocking of food items.
• Support receipt and storage of food supplies following established standards and orders.
• Perform tasks in compliance with safety, hygiene, and current legislation.

Required profile

• Higher‑level vocational training in Cooking and Gastronomy (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior).
• Completed APPCC (food safety) course.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar kitchen role.
• No language requirement.
• Team‑player attitude, creativity, stress tolerance, problem‑solving ability, and meticulous work style.
