Cocinero/a para Hotel Occidental Playa de Palma

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cook to join the kitchen team at Occidental Hotel Playa de Palma, part of the Barceló Group. You will work under the Head Chef to deliver high‑quality dishes following our menu specifications while maintaining the highest standards of safety and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare all recipes according to the technical sheets of the established menu rotation.
• Ensure smooth kitchen operations and support the Head Chef in daily tasks.
• Assist with cost control, inventory management and purchasing activities.
• Carry out cleaning, preservation, cooking, regeneration and restocking of food items.
• Receive and store food supplies following established procedures and safety standards.
• Perform duties in compliance with current safety, hygiene and labor regulations.

Required profile

• Higher Vocational Training in Cooking and Gastronomy (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior).
• Completed HACCP (APPCC) course.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar kitchen position.
• No language requirement; hospitality knowledge is a plus.
• Team‑player attitude, creativity, ability to work under pressure and meticulous attention to detail.

Required skills

• HACCP food‑safety knowledge.
