Compliance Manager & AMLRO – Spain

About the role

Swan.io is looking for a Compliance Manager who will also act as the Anti‑Money‑Laundering Reporting Officer (AMLRO) for its operations in Spain. Based in Barcelona, you will help keep Swan’s embedded banking services safe, secure and fully compliant with Spanish regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and implement regulatory changes affecting electronic money institutions in Spain.
• Prepare and submit regulatory filings under the guidance of the Head of Compliance.
• Serve as the escalation point for investigations conducted by FinCrime analysts.
• Analyse regulatory implications of new business use cases, products and services.
• Maintain and update internal compliance documentation to meet industry standards.
• Conduct ongoing regulatory watch on Spanish banking supervision matters.
• Act as the primary liaison with Spanish authorities such as Banco de España, SEPBLAC and CNMV.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of Spanish financial regulations, AML/CFT requirements and electronic money institution rules.
• Experience working with regulatory bodies and preparing compliance submissions.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory concepts into practical business processes.
• Excellent analytical and investigative skills.
