Construction Project Specialist (12-Month FTC Parental Leave Cover)

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY SPAIN, S.A.U. is looking for a Construction Project Specialist for a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC) to cover parental leave, based in Cordoba, Spain. The role leads and supports the execution of facility infrastructure projects in an industrial environment, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operations. It involves working with internal stakeholders and external partners on upgrades, renovations and maintenance strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute facility upgrades, renovations and new construction projects
• Manage external contractors and vendors, ensuring quality, safety and budget compliance
• Monitor project progress and resolve issues to meet timelines and performance targets
• Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies
• Maintain accurate documentation of projects, assets and maintenance activities
• Identify improvements to increase efficiency and extend asset lifespan
• Respond to critical facility incidents, including outside regular working hours when required

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• At least 3 years of project management experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
• Proven experience managing complex technical or infrastructure projects
• Fluency in Spanish and English (minimum B2 level)
