Project Manager – Railway Signalling

About the role

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Project Manager to join a challenging railway signalling project based in Madrid. The position is full time and on site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end execution of railway signalling projects.
• Manage scope, planning, costs, risks and quality.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering, installation, testing and commissioning teams.
• Maintain close relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
• Ensure technical, financial and contractual objectives are met.
• Monitor project economics and profitability.
• Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in industrial or railway environments.
• Experience managing complex projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• High-level English (B2/C1); French at B1/B2 is an advantage.

• Solid knowledge of railway signalling.
• Economic knowledge for financial management and control of projects.
• Decision-making and risk management.
• Leadership, communication and negotiation with clients, and ability to work in multicultural settings.
