Contracts Analyst

About the role

The Contracts Analyst will support O&M projects and services worldwide from our Madrid office, working closely with the O&M SCM Manager, technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant and value‑optimized contracting outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop annual procurement plans and category contracting strategies aligned with project schedules, budgets and risk profiles.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing events (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs) in Ariba, defining strategy, building tender packages and ensuring auditability.
• Collaborate with contract holders and technical teams to create clear scopes of work, commercial models and negotiation plans.
• Build and maintain should‑cost/benchmark models and market intelligence to support budgeting and negotiations.
• Evaluate technical and commercial bids, prepare award recommendations and lead negotiations while balancing legal and risk considerations.
• Draft, review and finalise contract terms with Legal, HSE, Finance and Insurance, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and local regulations.
• Manage contract lifecycle activities in Icertis/SAP, including creation, approvals, amendments and close‑out.
• Oversee variations, change orders and dispute avoidance, protecting the client’s commercial position.
• Monitor supplier performance, drive savings opportunities and provide reporting and analytics.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Oil Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Proven experience in contracts and supply‑chain management within O&M or similar projects.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Ariba sourcing module.
• Experience using Icertis and SAP for contract lifecycle management.
• Ability to develop should‑cost and benchmark models and conduct market intelligence analysis.
