Cook – Hotel Barceló Portinatx

About the role

Barcelo Hotel Group is looking for a motivated Cook to join the kitchen team at its Barceló Portinatx hotel in Ibiza. You will work under the Head Chef, preparing dishes according to the established menu specifications and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare all recipes based on technical sheets of the menu wheel.
• Ensure the kitchen runs efficiently and support the Head Chef.
• Assist with cost control, inventory management, and purchasing.
• Participate in cleaning, preservation, cooking, regeneration, and restocking of food items.
• Receive and store food supplies following established standards and orders.
• Perform tasks in compliance with safety, hygiene, and current legislation.

Required profile

• Higher Vocational Training (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior) in Cooking and Gastronomy.
• Completed HACCP (APPCC) course.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar kitchen role.
• No language requirement; hospitality knowledge is a plus.
• Team player with creativity, stress tolerance, problem‑solving ability, and meticulous work habits.
