Cook – Hotel Occidental Cala Viñas

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cook to join the kitchen team at Hotel Occidental Cala Viñas, part of the Barceló Group. You will work under the supervision of the Head Chef, preparing dishes according to our menu specifications and contributing to a high‑standard guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare all recipes following the technical sheets of the established menu rotation.
• Ensure smooth kitchen operations and report to the Head Chef.
• Assist in cost control, inventory management and purchasing activities.
• Participate in cleaning, preservation, cooking, regeneration and replenishment of food items.
• Support receipt and storage of food supplies according to established standards and orders.
• Perform tasks in compliance with safety, hygiene regulations and company procedures.

Required profile

• Higher‑level culinary training (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior in Cooking and Gastronomy).
• Completed APPCC (food safety) course.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar kitchen position.
• No language requirement.
• Team‑player attitude, creativity, stress tolerance and problem‑solving ability.

• APPCC food safety certification.
• Advanced culinary techniques and menu preparation.
• Cost and inventory management in a hospitality environment.
