Cost Controller – Temporary (Manufacturing)

About the role

ABB is seeking a Cost Controller on a temporary basis to support its Robotics business. You will work on‑site at a manufacturing site, analysing financial metrics and recommending actions to improve performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform analysis of business performance versus plan, focusing on product line profitability, product costing, production variances, over/under‑absorption and inventory.
• Prepare financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and present findings to management.
• Identify trends and issues, communicate insights to relevant groups and propose improvement actions for the factory.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of finance or controlling experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.
• Proven experience as a Plant Controller, Factory Controller or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory management and internal controls.
• Ability to partner with operations teams to drive efficiency and cost optimisation.

Required skills

• Advanced SAP system proficiency.
• Expert‑level Excel and data‑analysis capabilities.
