Cover Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Cover Teacher to step in for regular teachers, delivering pre‑prepared lessons and ensuring a safe, productive classroom environment. The role involves working across various subjects and year groups on short notice, supporting student learning and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑prepared lessons, ensuring learning objectives are met.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Supervise students during lessons and transitions to ensure safety.
• Follow school policies, including safeguarding, health & safety, and behavior procedures.
• Provide feedback notes to the regular teacher on student progress and any issues.
• Adapt quickly to cover a range of subjects and year groups, often on short notice.
• Support students with their work, encouraging participation and effort.
