Customer Development Expert for Business Banking

About the role

ING is seeking a Customer Development Expert to join its Business Banking team in Spain. The role focuses on driving customer‑led growth by turning customer feedback, market trends and competitive insights into actionable strategies that boost relevance, adoption and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the voice of Business Banking customers in strategic, commercial and operational decisions.
• Collect, consolidate and analyse customer feedback, market intelligence and industry trends to uncover growth opportunities.
• Identify unmet customer needs and translate insights into recommendations for products, propositions, processes and journeys.
• Support the design, validation and launch of new value propositions for self‑employed professionals and SMEs.
• Collaborate with Product, Growth, Brand and Customer Experience teams to test and validate initiatives.
• Own competitive benchmarking and monitor external best practices for differentiation.
• Contribute to customer engagement strategies based on deep understanding of behaviour and market dynamics.
• Promote a customer‑centric culture, ensuring decisions are grounded in evidence.

Required profile

• Mandatory experience in Business Banking, with direct exposure to self‑employed professionals and SME segments.
• Strong knowledge of the Spanish Business Banking market and customer needs.
• Proven experience in gathering and applying customer insights.
• Ability to work collaboratively across product, growth, brand and experience teams.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on translating data into commercial impact.
