Data Architect - Databricks, Azure/AWS (Hybrid)

About the role

EY GDS Spain is looking for a technology-savvy Data Architect (Databricks Architect) to join its global team and take part in international projects. The role involves designing solution architecture for organizations in the cloud, using an advanced technology stack and implementing new solutions alongside industry leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Design solution architecture for organizations in the cloud
• Solve complex business problems at large scale
• Take part in cross-functional initiatives and collaborate across domains
• Work with specialists, product and project managers and partners worldwide
• Facilitate design discussions and communicate architectural decisions
• Create reliable solution plans with business and multi-disciplinary teams, including cost estimation and delivery approaches

Required profile

• 8+ years of hands-on experience building complex solutions
• 3+ years in an architect role, designing and building complex data solutions
• 4+ years of experience in Databricks, including engineering, governance and security
• 3+ years with Azure or AWS cloud products and services
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Strategic thinking, demonstrated by researching client inquiries and emerging regulatory and technological issues
• Team player attitude and business acumen

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL, Python and PySpark
• Knowledge of Databricks features such as Lakehouse, Lakehouse Bridge, Lakehouse Flow, Lakehouse Base and Agent Bricks
• Understanding of data fabric, data mesh and data vault
• English at C1 level
• Nice to have: relational database design, real-time data processing and data warehousing
