Data Engineer

About the role

The Data Engineer will extract, clean, model and move data from diverse sources into the Group Strategic and Corporate Planning data warehouse, supporting analytics that drive strategy development and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document data requirements and business rules from stakeholders, analysts and data scientists.
• Design, build and maintain data models, pipelines and data warehouse structures.
• Create data quality profiles, document data dictionaries and resolve data quality issues.
• Implement and integrate ETL pipelines from multiple sources and perform data transformations for reporting.
• Manage security access and role permissions for analytics infrastructure.
• Research best practices, recommend infrastructure improvements and support data‑literacy workshops.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or related quantitative field.
• Minimum two years of experience, including at least one year in the financial sector.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• SQL and relational database concepts.
• ETL tools and data modeling software.
• Microsoft BI Suite – SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS.
• Programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, SAS).
• Dashboard creation with Excel, Power BI or Tableau.
