Data Research Analyst - Asian Languages Speaker

About the role

Morningstar is looking for Thai, Japanese and Korean speakers to join its team of data analysts in Madrid, Spain. The team delivers high-quality financial data to investors and works closely with the Global Data Team and local business representatives to keep financial data accurate and timely across global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with global data teams and manage business relationships with fund companies, including connecting with providers, setting up acquisition channels and acting as escalation point.
• Act as data expert on investment data points, processes, methodologies, calculations and fund structures.
• Meet production deadlines for internal and external clients.
• Evaluate procedures, build and improve analytical tools, and run process improvement projects using methods such as LEAN Six Sigma.
• Collect and maintain Morningstar data with high accuracy, completeness and coverage.
• Own data tickets, follow up and resolve issues promptly, and understand internal partners' roles to speed resolution.
• Turn client requests into detailed written specifications and user stories, and document client use cases.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and at least two other languages, such as Spanish, German, French, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Italian, Portuguese, Thai, Japanese or Korean.
• Detail-oriented, organized and able to handle large volumes of data and meet deadlines.
• Previous project management experience and interest in operational and performance data.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Project management experience.

What we offer

• Base salary of EUR 29,000 to 39,000, with a 5% annual target bonus depending on qualifications and experience.
• Hybrid work, typically four days in office per week.
