Data Scientist Intern – Renewable Energy

About the role

We are looking for a Data Scientist Intern to join our sustainable infrastructure team, focusing on renewable energy assets. The intern will support data‑driven initiatives that help us optimise operations and drive the transition to a greener economy.

Key responsibilities

• Transform business problems into simple analytical solutions under supervision.
• Collect, clean, and explore structured and unstructured data.
• Build and test prototypes and basic statistical models.
• Apply basic visualization and reporting techniques.
• Update KPIs and prepare summary reports.
• Document data research and model development activities.
• Follow departmental processes and assist with ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Eager to learn, analytical, and detail‑oriented.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Organized, reliable, and able to follow instructions and escalate issues when needed.

Required skills

• Knowledge of data analytics, statistical analysis, or business intelligence.
• Basic proficiency in statistical packages and programming (Python, SQL, Excel).
• Familiarity with exploratory analysis and basic algorithmic model building.
• Willingness to learn new analytical tools and technologies.
