DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer – GCP (Remote, Spain)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer to own and evolve our Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. The role is fully remote, but the candidate must reside in Spain. You will work closely with development, QA and IT teams to automate operations, monitor performance and ensure reliable deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on GCP, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run and GKE.
• Implement and maintain container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions (and optionally CircleCI) to automate testing, building and deployment.
• Set up monitoring, logging and alerting using Elasticsearch, Kibana, Prometheus and New Relic.
• Administer and optimise MongoDB instances, including backup, recovery and disaster‑recovery strategies.
• Apply security best practices and ensure compliance with GDPR and internal policies.
• Automate provisioning and configuration using Terraform or Ansible and write custom scripts in Python or Bash.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to support the software development lifecycle and resolve infrastructure issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Hands‑on experience with GCP services and container orchestration.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
