Digital Marketing Manager – Drive Growth for Open‑Source Smart Home Platform

About the role

Nabu Casa, the company behind the world’s largest open‑source smart‑home platform Home Assistant, is looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to own its online presence. You will be responsible for driving traffic, conversions and community growth across all digital channels while ensuring every marketing euro is spent wisely.

Key responsibilities

• Own performance of website, email, SEO, paid and social channels with clear targets for reach, conversion and subscriber growth.
• Plan, execute and analyse end‑to‑end digital campaigns aligned with product launches and commercial priorities.
• Develop and optimise organic search through content strategy and on‑site SEO to reduce reliance on paid traffic.
• Run email marketing for Home Assistant Cloud subscribers, including lifecycle flows, release announcements and re‑engagement campaigns.
• Manage paid media spend and ROI across channels, allocating budget to maximise new user acquisition.
• Track, report and act on weekly performance data, surfacing insights and prioritising next actions.
• Collaborate with the Product Marketing Manager to translate product messaging into channel‑specific copy and creative.
• Grow Nabu Casa’s presence in community platforms such as forums, Reddit, YouTube and related open‑source spaces.
• Test new growth levers – affiliate, referral, partnerships, influencer – through structured experiments.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience running digital marketing channels (SEO, email, paid social/search, content).
• Proven ability to plan and execute campaigns from brief to post‑analysis.
• Comfortable working with a technically sophisticated, community‑driven audience.
• Data‑driven mindset with strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Self‑starter who can set the agenda without waiting for briefs.
