Director of Quality Management – Renewable Energy

About the role

The company is a leading renewable‑energy player developing utility‑scale solar PV, wind and energy‑storage projects across Europe. As Director of Quality Management you will shape and enhance quality processes for solar and storage projects, ensuring high standards throughout the project and supplier lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a group‑wide quality assurance strategy for renewable‑energy technologies.
• Manage supplier assessment, qualification and ongoing performance monitoring.
• Conduct technical evaluations of equipment, suppliers and emerging technologies.
• Coordinate factory inspections, supplier audits and manufacturing quality activities internationally.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and safety regulations.
• Introduce quality metrics, reporting structures and continuous‑improvement processes across project phases.
• Support investigations into technical issues, warranty claims and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, delivery and operations teams across multiple regions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality management within renewable energy, electrical infrastructure or energy‑storage environments.
• Strong understanding of supplier quality processes, manufacturing oversight and technical compliance.
• Familiarity with international quality and safety standards relevant to energy technologies.
• Degree‑qualified in an engineering or technical discipline.
• Comfortable working with international teams and willing to travel regularly across Europe and global manufacturing sites.
