ECM M&A Analyst – Equity Capital Markets

About the role

The ECM M&A Analyst will join Santander Corporate & Investment Banking in Madrid, supporting the origination and execution of equity and equity‑linked transactions for sophisticated corporate and institutional clients. The role offers exposure to IPOs, rights issues, accelerated book‑builds, block trades, convertible bonds and takeover advisory mandates.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day execution of equity and equity‑linked deals, owning specific workstreams and ensuring timely delivery.
• Coordinate drafting sessions for prospectuses, offering circulars, investor presentations and announcements.
• Manage transaction timetables, aligning legal, audit, client and internal teams.
• Supervise junior analysts, review financial models, valuation outputs and marketing materials.
• Participate in structuring discussions, pricing strategy and equity story positioning.
• Conduct market analysis, sector performance review and valuation trend assessment.
• Support investor targeting, pilot‑fishing, wall‑crossing processes and investor education.
• Collaborate with Equity Syndicate and Equity Sales to gauge demand, order‑book dynamics and pricing considerations.
