Loan Verification Specialist – Verify Loan Applications

About the role

The Loan Verification Specialist is responsible for reviewing and validating loan application information to ensure each application is accurate, complete, and ready for the next stage of the review process. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and investigation skills to identify discrepancies, missing information, and potential concerns.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify information provided in loan applications.
• Investigate documentation discrepancies and conduct additional research when needed.
• Assess applicant’s ability to repay and investigate system‑generated alerts.
• Ensure required information and documentation are complete and accurate before moving applications forward.
• Support the preparation and finalization of contract terms based on verified information.
• Communicate with applicants using established processes and maintain accurate documentation throughout the verification process.

Required profile

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (North America) or local education requirements as listed.
• Preferably 1+ years of Loan Verification experience in a call‑center environment.
• Financial services industry experience is an asset.
• No personal certification or licensing requirements.
