Employment Counsel – Barcelona

About the role

SiteMinder is seeking an Employment Counsel to join its Barcelona office. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel in Australia, you will provide expert legal advice on all employee‑related matters across Spain and potentially other EMEA regions.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on employment law issues such as grievances, dismissals, contracts, benefits, and collective bargaining.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to People & Culture, local managers, and business leaders on employee relations and risk management.
• Manage employment litigation and disputes, offering regulatory and compliance guidance.
• Monitor regional employment law developments and update internal policies accordingly.
• Support cross‑border employment projects, including policy harmonisation and workforce changes.
• Communicate legal risk in a clear, commercially balanced manner.

Required profile

• Law degree with admission to practice in Spain.
• Extensive experience as a qualified employment lawyer in a top‑tier law firm and/or in‑house legal department.
• Proven ability to handle complex workplace issues and collective bargaining processes.
