Legal Counsel - Spain

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel for our Spanish operations, based in Barcelona. Reporting to the Chief Compliance & Regulatory Affairs Director, you will act as the primary legal advisor for the Group’s activities in Spain, ensuring compliance while supporting commercial growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice on commercial, corporate and operational matters for the Group’s Spanish operations.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including supplier, technology, marketing, partnership and service contracts.
• Support corporate governance for Spanish entities and assist with strategic projects such as restructurings, acquisitions or integrations.
• Manage relationships with external counsel, aiming to minimise reliance on outside firms.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in Spain, liaise with authorities and prepare regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with compliance, commercial, product, marketing, operations, finance and HR teams to ensure legal advice aligns with business objectives.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer admitted to a Spanish Bar Association.
• Proven experience in commercial, corporate or in‑house legal practice.
• Strong background in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts.
• Ability to work autonomously and build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders.
