Environmental and Crew Support Systems Control Engineer

About the role

Join Airbus Defence and Space as an Environmental and Crew Support Systems Control Engineer, working on ECS and control & monitoring systems for military aircraft platforms. You will be involved in the full development lifecycle, from requirements to certification, across diverse programs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and test control systems for environmental and crew support functions such as pneumatics, air‑conditioning, ice protection, oxygen and crew escape.
• Lead integration of electronic control units, manage software configuration and ensure compliance with certification and qualification regulations.
• Coordinate with suppliers, support aircraft deliveries, and resolve in‑service technical issues.
• Validate, verify and certify solutions from development through qualification phases.

Required profile

• Degree in Aeronautical, Industrial, Telecommunications or Computer Engineering.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (negotiation level) and able to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Flexibility to adapt to varied tasks and environments.

Required skills

• Control‑systems hardware and software integration.
• Aerospace communication protocols (ARINC 429, MIL‑STD‑1553, CAN, AFDX).
• Modeling and simulation tools (CAMEO, SCADE, MATLAB/Simulink).
• Knowledge of aerospace safety and certification standards (DO‑178C, DO‑254, CS‑25, CS‑23).
