Materials & Processes Engineer – Temporary

About the role

Airbus Defence & Space is seeking a Materials & Processes Engineer to join the TADAP3 team in Getafe, supporting the development and qualification of materials and processes for military aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Lead research, development and optimisation of composites, metals, surface treatments, paints, sealants and elastomeric technologies.
• Develop and manage technical specifications, qualifications and test plans for new materials and processes.
• Provide technical support to design, manufacturing, supply chain and quality departments.
• Represent TADAP3 in project meetings, MFTs and task groups, and lead the creation of process specifications and technical notes.
• Conduct failure analysis and support services, CML and the industrial environment.

Required profile

• Engineering or Science degree (Master’s highly valued).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in materials and processes, with strong knowledge of test methods.
• Flexibility, interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Advanced English and Spanish; other languages a plus.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
