Environmental System Qualification Engineer

About the role

Airbus Defence & Space is looking for an Environmental System Qualification Engineer to join the Engineering Support team in Getafe. The role covers the full system development lifecycle, from requirement analysis through environmental qualification, integration and certification across multiple platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Support the entire system development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, development, environmental qualification, integration and certification.
• Define environmental qualification requirements and test plans, and review test results for equipment.
• Define and manage interfaces between functions and systems, ensuring consistent implementation.
• Provide input to checkpoints and reviews aligned with program phases and gates.
• Verify that system requirements are correctly and completely implemented and that designs meet state‑of‑the‑art safety standards and airworthiness regulations.
• Support production, reception flight testing and delivery activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering.
• More than 5 years of experience in system development.
• More than 2 years of experience in environmental qualification activities.
• Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and environments.
• Professional level proficiency in English.
