Finance AI & Automation Specialist

About the role

IFF is looking for a Finance AI & Automation Specialist to build and operate the automation and AI capabilities used by its global finance organization, within the Food Ingredients business unit. The role covers Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Intercompany, General Ledger, Master Data, Tax, Treasury, Reporting and the Global Shared Service Centres. It is a hybrid position based in Asturias or Valencia, Spain, reporting to the Head of AI Adoption, Process Improvement & Automation.

Key responsibilities

• Build and deploy automation and AI solutions on the Microsoft estate (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio, SharePoint, Dataverse), extending with Python or equivalent scripting where needed.
• Integrate solutions with finance systems and data sources such as SAP extracts and reporting layers, without creating undocumented data stores.
• Make every deployment auditable: record what was deployed, when, by whom, what it was tested against, who approved it and its current state, and implement human review points for decisions with financial or legal consequence.
• Apply security by default: access scoped to purpose, credentials managed properly, logs written and redacted appropriately.
• Maintain runbooks and tested rollback paths, monitor capabilities against intended outcomes and act as first point of contact for deployment issues.
• Partner with the Finance AI Analyst, train end users, write plain-language documentation and assess external vendors and tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Finance or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of experience building automation, integration or data solutions, including at least 1 year with AI or large language model tooling in production.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, testing, deploying and supporting RPA solutions, including those interacting with SAP through approved interfaces, SAP GUI scripting or equivalent.
• Security and audit mindset, strong documentation practice, and ability to judge whether a request can be built safely.
• Fluent English; Spanish is an advantage.

Required skills

• Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), Copilot Studio and Python or equivalent scripting.
• Agentic development tools such as Claude Code.
• RPA tools such as Power Automate Desktop, UiPath, Blue Prism, Excel VBA or SAP-connected automation are valued.
