Finance Assistant

About the role

A detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant is sought to join the Finance team in Barcelona. You will support day-to-day accounting and finance operations by processing financial transactions, keeping master data accurate and safeguarding the integrity of accounting records. The position suits someone wanting to build a career in finance within an international and collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily accounting and finance operations.
• Process supplier invoices using SAP Business One (SAP B1).
• Review, verify and process employee travel and expense claims in line with company policy.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Create and maintain vendor and customer master data in SAP Business One.
• Maintain cost centers and other financial master data.
• Assist with month-end closing and help prepare financial reports.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate and well documented.
• Liaise with internal departments on invoice issues and payments.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role preferred; recent graduates with relevant internships are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, proactive attitude and team spirit.
