Finance Operations Specialist

About the role

Cledara, a SaaS management platform with over 1,300 customers worldwide, is looking for a Finance Operations Specialist to join its growing Finance team in Barcelona. This is a hands-on role covering the key processes of a high-impact Finance team in a B2B SaaS fintech startup, with opportunities to improve processes, automate recurring activities and take on broader responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the month-end close, from start to finish
• Manage Accounts Payable: invoice processing, supplier reconciliations, coding and payment runs
• Oversee Accounts Receivable and collections: invoicing, customer reconciliations, ageing reports and proactive collections
• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping, journals, accruals, prepayments and deferred revenue/income
• Perform bank, balance sheet, P&L and general ledger reconciliations with high accuracy
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements or automation
• Navigate ERP systems and use advanced Excel to manipulate and extract value from large datasets
• Exposure to reporting and analysis, treasury, and budgeting and forecasting is a plus

Required profile

• 3-6 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, FP&A or a similar environment
• Solid understanding of core accounting and finance principles
• Practical experience with AR, AP, reconciliations and month-end processes
• Experience with accounting systems and financial data
• Fluent English; fluent Spanish is highly valued
• Ability to work from the Barcelona office 3 days per week
