Financial Controller – French & Spanish Markets

About the role

Join a fast‑growing financial consultancy in Barcelona as a Financial Controller supporting either the French or Spanish market. You will work with startups, providing financial controlling, analysis and strategic insights in an international team.

Key responsibilities

• Support all finance and reporting needs of clients, delivering business‑driven insights through FP&A (forecasting, budgeting, etc.).
• Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and business analysis tools.
• Ensure accurate financial metrics, reporting standards and compliance.
• Maintain relationships with external accountants, banks and tax advisors.
• Manage the P&L, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.
• Supervise day‑to‑day accounting in collaboration with client resources.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable and cash management.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and near‑native level in French or Spanish, depending on the market.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in audit, accounting or controlling; startup experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
