Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Controller to own the financial backbone of Carlo, a fintech startup operating in Monaco, France and Spain. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Data, you will support budgeting, cash management and forecasting across multiple entities and provide strategic insight to the executive team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budget process for Carlo App, Carlo Core and Carl, building bottom‑up models, consolidating at group level and analysing variances each month.
• Manage inter‑company cash flows, short‑term liquidity and working‑capital optimisation, coordinating with payment partners on float and settlement.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual P&L forecasts, maintain the group financial model and prepare board reporting packs and real‑time performance dashboards.
• Partner with heads of business units to translate operational drivers into financial visibility, challenge assumptions and provide risk‑adjusted alternatives.
• Liaise with external accountants and auditors to ensure compliance and statutory reporting are up to date.
