Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

ALST is looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis professional to join its team in Madrid, in the same office as the CEO and CFO. The role covers monthly management reporting, financial performance analysis, risk mitigation and investment analysis, forecasting support, managerial accounting for Executive General Managers, M&A and capital investment support, and ad hoc reporting to the CEO and CFO.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive monthly management reports and lead financial performance reviews with the CEO, CFO and Head of FP&A.
• Provide detailed visibility on business streams' financial performance, recommend improvements and support investor presentation data.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks in greenfield investments and CAPEX returns, and analyse investment options.
• Improve the accuracy of divisional forecasts with the Lead FP&A using advanced forecasting techniques and tools.
• Support Executive General Managers with financial planning, budgeting and performance tracking.
• Support regional M&A and capital investment, including financial due diligence and integration planning.
• Own financial support for Environmental divisions and provide ad hoc reporting to the CEO and CFO.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a large multinational organisation.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and management reporting.
• Ability to work across several geographies, manage multiple priorities and handle complex financial data accurately.
• Eligibility: citizen or permanent resident of the country of application, or able to obtain a valid working visa.

• Proficiency in financial software (TM1)
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills, and leadership and team management abilities
