Flight Test Instrumentation System Engineer – Operations

About the role

Flight Test Instrumentation System Engineer and Operations role within Airbus Defence & Space in Sevilla. The engineer will join a multi‑site team to design, develop, operate and maintain flight test means systems that support all flight‑testing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and tailor flight‑test means requirements, define verification and validation strategy with stakeholders.
• Support design and production during flight‑test means integration, ensuring compliance with airworthiness and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with customers, airworthiness authorities and external partners to certify that the system is fit for purpose.
• Operate airborne and ground flight‑test means, perform functional checks and prepare equipment for flight campaigns.
• Process flight‑test data, deliver results to customers and store data according to security levels.
• Maintain configuration control, perform first‑level troubleshooting and routine maintenance of flight‑test equipment.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering (systems engineering preferred).
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience.
• Native‑level Spanish and advanced English; French or German a plus.
