Flow Cytometry Application Specialist

About the role

Augusta Life Sciences Spain, part of BD Biosciences (now Waters), is looking for an experienced Flow Cytometry Application Specialist to offer expert technical support, training and advice on its scientific instruments and software to clients throughout Spain. The role ensures efficient product performance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide extensive technical aid and fault analysis for Augusta Life Sciences products, covering hardware and software, by phone, email and on-site.
• Run product demonstrations, installations and user training sessions for new and existing customers.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact and trusted advisor, building strong customer relationships.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify customer needs, share technical insights and contribute to product development.
• Build and update technical documentation, FAQs and training materials to improve self-service support.
• Take part in industry conferences, workshops and seminars to stay up to date on new technologies.
• Analyse customer feedback to identify common issues and propose solutions or improvements.
• Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of instruments as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology) or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with flow cytometry in a technical, field service or application specialist role.
• Fluent English.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel frequently.

Required skills

• Solid theoretical and hands-on knowledge of laboratory methods and instruments in the Augusta Life Sciences product range (cytometry).
• Technical support and training of customers.
