Forward Deployed Engineer (SWAT) - Iberia

About the role

Salesforce is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) SWAT for its Iberia region. This is a hands-on, production-focused role focused on troubleshooting, fixing and resolving complex issues in live customer deployments. You will work quickly to diagnose root causes, implement fixes and restore stable performance across Agentforce and the wider Salesforce platform, owning issues end-to-end from triage to resolution and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Design agent intelligence: prompts, reasoning, tool calls and integration with customer systems using the Agentic AI platform and current LLM techniques.
• Own technical components end-to-end, from architecture choice to deployed, validated and observable systems in production.
• Build and integrate data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks and customer data platforms, modelling data and validating output.
• Maintain agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting to track deployment health and business outcomes.
• Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs, and co-build with customers and partners while sharing best practices.
• Surface platform gaps, edge cases and field insights to senior engineers and the product team.
• Partner with the Deployment Strategist in your pod to turn customer business challenges into shippable agentic solutions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience, ideally in an AI tech stack, full-stack development or with frontier models.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience (consulting, professional services or forward deployed engineering).
• Fluent in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java or Apex, and hands-on with LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Ability to work with sales teams and customer architects, and to travel about 25% of the time.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of data modelling, APIs and integration patterns.
• Preferred: Salesforce platform experience or certifications (Administrator, Platform Developer I, Agentforce Specialist).
• Preferred: familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks and BigQuery.
