Fraud Activity Agent (German Speaking)

About the role

A leading BPO company supporting top tech brands in customer care is hiring a German-speaking Fraud Activity Agent for its Barcelona office, via David Kennedy Recruitment. The position is full-time and on-site, with a base salary plus performance bonus.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and verify suspicious or high-risk activity using internal tools, guidelines and established processes
• Review and validate customer-provided documentation to assess potential risks or fraudulent behaviour
• Resolve cases accurately and within defined timelines while meeting service-level standards
• Monitor pending cases, follow up on outstanding documentation and escalate when necessary
• Maintain detailed records of investigations, actions and outcomes
• Communicate professionally in sensitive or escalated situations and use knowledge of risk indicators and fraud patterns to prevent and mitigate risk
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and support process enhancements

Required profile

• Fluent German (C1) with strong written skills, and English at least at B2
• Prior experience in fraud prevention, risk management or back-office support (minimum 6 months preferred)
• Proven ability to meet performance targets and handle complex or escalated cases professionally
• Integrity, reliability, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure

Required skills

• Analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Research and support tools such as knowledge bases, search engines, CRMs and shipment tracking systems
• Familiarity with iOS, Android and Windows
