Freelance Head of SEO – Strategic Lead

About the role

We are looking for a visionary Freelance Head of SEO to own and shape our organic growth strategy. In this senior position you will design a data‑driven SEO roadmap that drives revenue, not just traffic, and position the brand as a search engine leader.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead a global SEO strategy (technical, on‑page, off‑page) aligned with 2026 business objectives.
• Conduct deep technical audits covering Core Web Vitals, crawlability, and indexing, and collaborate with developers to implement fixes.
• Oversee topical authority mapping, building search‑intent clusters and EEAT‑focused content plans.
• Integrate AI‑assisted workflows for content briefing, data analysis, and internal linking while ensuring compliance with Helpful Content guidelines.
• Manage the SEO budget, track organic ROI, share of voice and conversion attribution, and report to C‑level executives.
• Lead and mentor internal writers or external agencies to produce high‑quality, SEO‑optimized content.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of senior SEO experience with proven success scaling high‑authority domains in SaaS, e‑commerce or media.
• Product‑mindset: treats SEO as a product, understanding UX and revenue impact.
• Strong business acumen, able to speak in terms of revenue, LTV and ROI.
