Front Office Intern

About the role

SLS Barcelona, a five-star urban resort in the Port Forum waterfront district, is looking for a Front Office intern. The intern supports the front office department in all required areas, including handling reservations, assisting guests and acting as an SLS ambassador.

Key responsibilities

• Handle guest arrivals and departures and keep data accurate across all systems
• Greet and assist guests warmly, courteously and professionally
• Handle credit transactions and ensure accurate guest billing
• Resolve guest complaints and inquiries promptly and empathetically
• Inform guests accurately and on time about hotel amenities, services and local attractions
• Keep track of scheduled events and activities and know the local area well
• Record and act on guest preferences, and handle messages, requests and questions
• Answer telephone calls quickly and efficiently
• Report issues to the right department and follow up until they are resolved
• Keep the reception and public areas clean, tidy and presentable

Required profile

• Student of a bachelor's or master's degree in hospitality or a related field
• Able to sign a school agreement for a period of preferably 6 months
• Understanding of and alignment with SLS brand values
• Fluent in Spanish and English
• Quick learner who adapts to the SLS culture and is open to new ideas
