Full Stack Engineer – Climate Tech Startup

About the role

We are a climate‑tech startup focused on reforestation and sustainability, looking for a Full‑Stack Engineer to join our on‑site team in Barcelona. You will work across our web platform (Vue.js, PHP) and mobile app (React Native) to deliver end‑to‑end features that drive our mission.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain features on the web platform (Vue.js, PHP) and mobile app (React Native).
• Design and implement robust, modular backend services, APIs, and database schemas.
• Collaborate on architecture decisions, code reviews, and problem‑solving with the tech team.
• Map and analyze workflows to define system scope before coding.
• Own features from data model design through API exposure to frontend delivery.
• Prototype rapidly, select the appropriate stack (PHP, Vue.js, TypeScript) and industrialise solutions.
• Ensure observability and failure handling are built into every development effort.
• Leverage AI tools to improve code quality and automate repetitive tasks.

Required profile

• Proven full‑stack development experience with production systems.
• Strong database design skills and ability to model data before implementation.
• Experience building modular, composable services.
• Solid understanding of system design, APIs, state management, integration patterns, and observability.
• Hands‑on experience with PHP, RESTful APIs, and Vue.js.
• Analytical problem‑solver who diagnoses issues thoroughly before acting.
• Based in Barcelona and able to work on‑site.
