Full-Time Cook (Long-Term Cover)

About the role

A Radisson hotel in Barcelona is looking for a Cook to cover a long-term sick leave. The position is full-time and forms part of the culinary team, which delivers the guest dining experience across the whole hotel. The cook works within a team that aims to maximise guest satisfaction and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Support the smooth running of the kitchen department, where all aspects of the guest dining experience are delivered to the highest standard.
• Work as part of a team that responds positively and promptly to guest enquiries and problems.
• Take responsibility for the duties assigned, carrying them out in a timely and professional way.
• Deliver on departmental plans and objectives, including hotel initiatives and targets.
• Work with the direct supervisor to control costs and inventory and to attain productivity and performance levels.
• Maintain effective working relationships and promote the company culture and values.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, with due diligence, best practice and documentation for internal and external audits, and follow up as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and work well with others.
• Hands-on approach with a can-do work style.
• Commitment to exceptional guest service and a passion for the hospitality industry.
• Ability to find creative solutions and take ownership of assigned duties.
• Personal integrity and the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence.
• Experience using IT systems on various platforms.
