Full‑Stack Engineer – Climate Tech (Barcelona)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Full‑Stack Engineer to join a fast‑growing climate‑tech startup in Barcelona. You will work on both the web platform (Vue.js & PHP) and the mobile app (React Native), delivering end‑to‑end features that directly support reforestation and sustainability initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain features across the web and mobile stack.
• Build robust, modular backend services, APIs, and database schemas.
• Collaborate with the tech team on architecture decisions, code reviews, and problem‑solving.
• Map and analyse workflows to define precise system scope before coding.
• Own feature delivery from data‑model design to frontend implementation.
• Prototype rapidly, select appropriate technologies, and ensure observability and failure handling.
• Leverage AI tools to improve code quality and automate repetitive tasks.

Required profile

• Proven full‑stack development experience in production environments.
• Strong ability to design databases and model data before implementation.
• Experience with modular service architecture and scalable system design.
• Hands‑on expertise with PHP, RESTful APIs, Vue.js, and TypeScript.
• Analytical problem‑solver who diagnoses issues thoroughly before acting.
• Based in Barcelona and able to work onsite.
