Geotechnical Engineer – Offshore Wind (Fixed & Floating Foundations)

About the role

Q ENERGY is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to support offshore wind projects across Europe. The role focuses on site characterization, geotechnical analysis, and the development of foundations, mooring systems, and subsea cable designs for both fixed and floating platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the geotechnical technical focal point, ensuring QA/QC of all geotechnical deliverables.
• Provide soil data and geotechnical inputs for foundation and cable design packages.
• Lead geoscience workstreams for bids or projects, managing budget, schedule, risk and procurement inputs.
• Perform quality control of geotechnical datasets and interpret survey data.
• Review technical reports, write technical documentation (SOW, requirements, etc.), and support certification activities.
• Supervise geotechnical survey operations and interface with design teams.
• Contribute to R&D by developing in‑house geotechnical tools and integrating them with structural and installation teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in offshore wind geotechnical engineering.
• Ability to lead geoscience packages and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong technical leadership and communication skills.
