About the role

Novartis is looking for a Global Finance Business Planning & Analysis Manager (RLT) in Barcelona, Spain, with relocation support available. The role helps shape financial performance across a global organization by partnering with senior leaders to strengthen forecasting, planning and value creation, turning complex data into actionable insights. The position is listed as hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global financial planning, forecasting and budgeting to support strategic business objectives.
• Deliver timely management reporting and actionable insights for senior business and finance stakeholders.
• Analyze financial results, trends, risks and opportunities to enable informed decisions.
• Challenge assumptions and drive performance improvements through data-led financial analysis.
• Develop forecasting models and early-warning mechanisms to strengthen financial visibility and accuracy.
• Partner with business leaders to identify growth opportunities, cost efficiencies and value-creation initiatives.
• Conduct profitability, resource-allocation and benchmarking analyses to guide long-term priorities.
• Improve planning processes, financial tools, reporting capabilities and policy adherence.
• Provide functional leadership, coaching and development support to finance team members.
• Lead or co-lead special projects that improve financial performance and operational effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Significant experience in financial planning, analysis, budgeting and forecasting within a complex global organization.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and support senior leaders with strategic decisions.
• Experience improving processes and implementing financial planning and reporting solutions.

• Advanced analytical capability and confidence in turning financial data into clear business insights.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills in a global, cross-functional environment.
• Desired skills: capital allocation, critical thinking, data visualization, insight generation, managing ambiguity, market understanding and process optimization.

• Expected annual base salary range of EUR 59,100 to EUR 109,700, set according to skills, competencies and experience.
