Global Head of Operations Excellence

About the role

Galderma is strengthening its industrial capacities with a global end-to-end lean supply and manufacturing program and is looking for an experienced Global Head of Operations Excellence. Reporting to the Global Head of Operations, you will drive the operations transformation and continuous improvement strategy, working with Operations functions and their embedded excellence resources (Supply Chain, Quality, External Supply, Industrial Development and Plant leadership). The position is based in Barcelona or London and sits within the Operations Leadership Team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement the global lean supply and manufacturing program, including coordination of the drive to 85% Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE)
• Establish practitioner groups focused on continuous improvement and best-practice convergence, and align strategy and tactics across departments
• Structure, coordinate and update the annual Operations strategy plan using the Hoshin process, with dashboard accountability
• Run extended value stream baseline analyses, supplier summits and Kaizen events, and provide lean master/sensei support
• Promote lean continuous improvement and culture, pilot performance, rationalization and agility evaluations, and coach teams using visual controls and Gemba walks
• Drive Lean and Six Sigma tools, daily visual management, root cause and corrective action, and 5S/RCCA
• Advise the business on business improvement, negotiate with stakeholders and communicate the impact of market changes on Lean methodologies

Required profile

• Solid experience in highly performing manufacturing structures operating at 85%+ OEE
• Experience building and leading projects and programs, including upskilling and upscaling manufacturing performance
• Ambitious, entrepreneurial approach and outstanding executive presence
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple work streams at once
• Strong critical thinking, negotiation and communication skills
