Guest Experience Intern

About the role

SLS Barcelona, a five-star urban resort located in the Port Forum waterfront district, is looking for a Guest Experience intern. Working under the guidance of the Guest Experience Manager, the intern provides friendly, helpful and responsive service to all guests from arrival to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests warmly, courteously and professionally.
• Accommodate general and unique requests.
• Tell guests about the hotel facilities, restaurants, bars and things to do in the city.
• Handle complaints and inquiries promptly and empathetically, aiming for swift resolution.
• Keep track of events and activities and recommend attractions, restaurants and services.
• Record and act on guest preferences, and handle messages, requests and questions.
• Report issues to the right department and follow up until they are resolved.
• Look after public areas, such as the lobby, and notice guests who look lost.

Required profile

• Studying a bachelor's or master's degree in hospitality or a related field.
• Ability to sign an agreement with the school for a period of preferably 6 months.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Confident, proactive, energetic and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Quick learner who adapts well to the SLS culture.
