Head of Controlling - Power Electronics

About the role

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Head of Controlling for its Power Electronics business unit. The role will translate the BU and GPG strategy into actionable business plans, drive performance, and ensure financial discipline across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and align the Power Electronics strategy with the broader GPG objectives.
• Lead the business planning and forecasting process, building scenarios and recommending actions.
• Monitor performance against targets, analyse variances and drive corrective actions.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and capital efficiency.
• Assess and mitigate business risks, ensuring consistent risk‑management processes.
• Lead cross‑functional initiatives to implement global standards and continuous‑improvement guidelines.
• Provide guidance and share best practices with local controllers and other units.

Required profile

• Proven experience in controlling, finance or business planning at a senior level, preferably within industrial or power‑electronics environments.
• Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into measurable business plans and drive execution.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in variance analysis and performance monitoring.
• Leadership experience, capable of guiding cross‑functional teams and fostering best‑practice sharing.
