Head of Finance – Scale‑up FinTech

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Finance to join a fast‑growing fintech scale‑up. Reporting directly to the CEO and founder, you will act as a strategic partner, turning financial insight into growth levers and safeguarding the company’s financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the founders to define and execute corporate strategy, using financial analysis to drive growth.
• Lead FP&A, budgeting, and agile forecasting; build stress‑tested models to optimise cash runway, monitor burn rate and simulate expansion scenarios.
• Oversee finance, accounting, management control and tax functions, ensuring accurate, compliant annual statements under international accounting standards.
• Manage regulatory and compliance matters for neobanking, maintaining capital adequacy and reporting standards for European authorities.
• Lead investor relations, external auditors, financial advisors and tax authorities.
• Analyse unit economics across business lines to improve margins, transaction profitability and overall financial performance.

Required profile

• 6+ years in senior finance roles (Finance Director, Head of Finance, CFO) within financial services.
• Experience in a Big Four Financial Institutions Group is highly desirable.
• Background in high‑growth fintech, neobank or similar financial institution.
• University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
• Fluent English, strong executive presence and ability to lead multicultural startup teams.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of financial systems, audits and regulatory compliance.
• Expertise in financial modelling, cash‑flow management and unit‑economics analysis.
