Host/Hostess – Guest Experience Specialist

About the role

As a Host/Hostess at The Social Hub, you are the first friendly face guests encounter. You create a welcoming atmosphere, manage the flow of guests, and ensure a smooth transition from entrance to table.

Key responsibilities

• Greet every guest with a warm, genuine welcome and manage the entrance area confidently.
• Handle reservations via phone, email, and digital booking systems, including modifications and special requests.
• Coordinate seating with the front‑of‑house and kitchen teams to maintain an efficient flow.
• Monitor wait times, address guest needs, and provide thoughtful solutions.
• Maintain a tidy host stand, menus, and entrance area at all times.
• Assist with ancillary tasks such as coat check, birthday setups, and light floor support during busy periods.
• Inform guests about menus, specials, and upcoming events, and share feedback with the team.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience in a guest‑facing hospitality role (restaurant or hotel preferred).
• Polished, warm presence that reflects the venue’s style.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to stay calm and organized during peak periods.
• Team‑first attitude, ready to support colleagues wherever needed.

Required skills

• Confidence using digital booking systems and managing guest queues.
